Job Description
Florida Home Air Conditioning seeks a Residential HVAC Service Tech to install, troubleshoot, and repair heating and cooling systems in homes across Jacksonville, FL. In this fast-paced, customer-focused role, you'll diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and recommend solutions that improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. You'll interact directly with homeowners, explain findings, and deliver courteous in-home service. Work with a team that values reliability, professionalism, and technical growth while gaining hands-on experience and advancement in a stable, trade-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on residential HVAC systems Install and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components Conduct system start-ups, testing, and performance tuning for energy efficiency Respond to scheduled and emergency homeowner service calls in a timely manner Explain repair options, maintenance recommendations, and system operation to customers Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company quality standards Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized condition Collaborate with dispatch and team members to prioritize and complete daily workload Promote maintenance plans and additional services that improve home comfort Required Skills Residential HVAC diagnostics HVAC system installation HVAC system repair Electrical troubleshooting for HVACBrazing and refrigerant piping Refrigerant recovery and charging Reading HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams Use of HVAC gauges and diagnostic tools Airflow and ductwork balancing Thermostat and controls setup
