Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Duct Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, modifying, and replacing HVAC duct systems in residential and new construction settings. The Duct Mechanic will be responsible for completing ductwork installations and repairs accurately, efficiently, and according to company standards and job specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and is able to work independently while maintaining good communication with Management and other team members. This position is available as either a full-time employee or subcontractor opportunity . Key Responsibilities Install, repair, replace, and modify residential HVAC duct systems Install ductwork for new construction projects according to plans and specifications Fabricate, assemble, and properly install ductwork and related components Properly seal, insulate, and secure ductwork to ensure efficient airflow Read and interpret duct layouts, measurements, and construction plans Inspect completed ductwork to ensure proper installation and workmanship Identify and correct ductwork issues, including leaks, poor connections, and airflow concerns Maintain good communication with Management, Installation, Service, and other team members Maintain a clean and safe work area Properly maintain and use tools and equipment required for the job Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities Perform additional duties as assigned by management Skills & Qualifications 2 years of experience working with HVAC ductwork preferred Experience with residential HVAC duct installation and/or new construction Knowledge of duct installation, fabrication, sealing, and insulation Ability to read and follow duct layouts, plans, and measurements Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools Must own tools for the trade Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Clean background and drug free Fluency in English. Bilingual is a plus Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
