This paid position offers the opportunity to share your technical expertise and industry experience through engaging classroom instruction and practical training. As an HVAC Instructor, you will play a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in the trades by delivering comprehensive curriculum that integrates hands-on skills with theoretical knowledge. Your passion for teaching and technical proficiency will help shape the next generation of skilled HVAC professionals. Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom lessons on HVAC/R systems. Develop and update curriculum materials to ensure alignment with industry standards and certification requirements Facilitate hands-on training sessions using modern tools and equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), blackboard systems, and other educational technologies Assess student progress through practical demonstrations, written exams, and project evaluations Support students from varied cultural backgrounds by creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and growth Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols during all instructional activities Requirements Proven experience working with post-secondary students in technical or vocational education settings Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, welding, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) practices Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC/R or related fields are preferred Join us to make a meaningful impact by equipping future technicians with the skills they need to succeed!
