We are looking for an experienced, confident, and motivated Full-Time HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of HVAC service experience , is confident diagnosing and repairing equipment independently, takes pride in their workmanship, and understands the importance of professionalism and customer service. Refrigeration experience is a plus. Installation experience is also a plus, but not required . We are looking for someone who is competent, dependable, willing to learn, and capable of performing high-quality HVAC work while representing the company professionally. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and package units. Service and troubleshoot light commercial HVAC equipment. Perform service calls and accurately diagnose equipment failures and system performance issues. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including capacitors, contactors, relays, motors, compressors, thermostats, control boards, transformers, wiring, and sensors. Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, recovery, evacuation, and charging in accordance with EPA regulations and manufacturer specifications. Diagnose airflow and duct system issues. Perform preventative maintenance and HVAC tune-ups. Inspect systems for proper operation, efficiency, safety, and overall condition. Clearly explain equipment issues, repair recommendations, and available options to customers. Provide professional estimates for recommended repairs and system improvements. Complete service tickets, job notes, equipment documentation, and other required paperwork accurately. Use company technology, including iPad-based service and dispatch systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle. Maintain and properly care for company-provided tools and equipment. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself respectfully in customers' homes and businesses. Coordinate with the office and installation team when repairs require additional equipment, replacement, or follow-up work. Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance, system improvements, and equipment replacement when appropriate. Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable HVAC codes and regulations. Participate in after-hours or emergency service rotation as needed. Deliver an exceptional customer experience on every call. Qualifications 3-5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred. Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and troubleshooting. Ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC equipment. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and HVAC schematics. Experience troubleshooting motors, compressors, capacitors, contactors, control boards, thermostats, and other HVAC components. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and refrigerant charging procedures. EPA certification required. Light commercial HVAC experience is a plus. Refrigeration experience is a plus. HVAC installation experience is a plus. Construction or mechanical-system experience is desirable. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to use standard HVAC diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and business owners. Clean and professional appearance. Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
