The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home . As an HVAC Technician at Martin North Hospital, you will p erform inspection, preventive maintenance, service, repair and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related control systems , all while u tiliz ing your knowledge of fundamental HVAC systems. You will also respond to urgent facility calls, equipment malfunctions and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements. HVAC Technicians ensure a safe, functional and comfortable environment for patients, families and caregivers. Properly maintained equipment and building systems reduce delays in care, prevent safety risks and support a positive patient experience. This opportunity will allow you to be in a stable, full-time role in a hospital environment with consistent work and purpose. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 2:30PM - 11:00PM, including rotating on-call weekends every 6 weeks . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and related control systems. Monitor and evaluate facility and central energy plant environment for deficiencies, safety hazards, broken equipment and aesthetic improvements. Perform repairs and improvements according to Federal and State codes and standards, local and State building codes and manufacturer's specifications. Maintain clean, orderly and safe work area . Use proper warning signs and safety equipment to ensure the safety of others. Monitor and report abnormal operation of central energy plant equipment. Use proper hand or power tools to complete tasks and use personal protective equipment when necessary. Routinely pick up work orders in Plant Operations department and complete work orders in a timely manner . Report to Supervisor or Director any problems or items requiring follow up for the following shift. Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner and take appropriate action . Notify the Supervisor or Director when emergencies, deficiencies and safety hazards are identified. Assist outside contractors on site for equipment and building repairs. Estimate time and materials required on work orders. Maintain necessary parts and tools to complete tasks. Notify Supervisor when parts and supplies are needed. Coordinate shut down activities with Plant Operations Supervisor. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School or equivalent Three to five years of experience as a HVAC Tech Fundamental mechanical ability Prior experience in a healthcare setting Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time•Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to inspect equipment Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures May be exposed to communicable diseases

Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$25.13 Maximum hourly: $38.33 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
