Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units and building automation systems following schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units. Repair and replace mechanical components, including compressors, fans, motors, valves, and plumbing connections. Conduct comprehensive system repairs by analyzing schematics, mechanical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams to identify root causes of malfunctions. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs or installations clearly and ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all work performed for accountability and quality assurance. Operate hand tools safely and efficiently during installation and repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related fields is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles, plumbing systems, and building automation controls. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, and ohmmeters. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly using diagnostic techniques and equipment troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with HVAC design principles, electrical systems diagnostics, boiler operation, appliance repair, air conditioning systems maintenance, and refrigeration technology. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driver experience is a plus. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Building automation system knowledge and electrical system expertise are advantageous for success in this role. Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
