• Overview
• Kimley-Horn is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Specialist to join our MEP team in the Tampa, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.
• Responsibilities
• + Provide commissioning related services for MEP engineering projects during construction phases.

+ Perform quality checks and inspections on installed systems.

+ Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot hardware, sensors, and control panels.

+ Track project progress, complete checklists, and log deficiencies or punch lists.

+ Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project managers during startup.

+ Write field reports and verify compliance with project specifications

• Qualifications
• + Relevant experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical construction + General Knowledge of in the following disciplines HVAC, Plumbing/piping, BMS controls & lighting systems + Experience in computer operation and the ability to learn engineering calculation programs and computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose of accessing and interpreting design requirements, is a plus.

+ Documented commissioning training from a nationally recognized professional body, is a plus..

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Construction Management knowledge

+ Excellent verbal and written communication

+ Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients

+ Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic

+ Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines

+ Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment

+ Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
