Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of creating comfortable, safe, and efficient indoor environments. In this energetic role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating equipment, ventilation systems, refrigeration units, and building automation controls. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal system performance and energy efficiency. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, electrical wiring, refrigeration components, and mechanical equipment according to schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and longevity. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and system schematics. Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, thermostats, motors, valves, and electrical controls to restore system functionality. Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Assist in the design or modification of HVAC systems to improve efficiency or meet specific building requirements. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance for each job. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs or installations clearly while providing excellent customer service. Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic laws; ensure proper handling of equipment during transit. Requirements Proven construction experience with knowledge of mechanical systems installation and repair processes. Service technician experience working on HVAC/R systems or related mechanical equipment. Familiarity with reading schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans. Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration cycles, plumbing connections, electrical systems diagnostics, and building automation systems. Experience troubleshooting HVAC system issues using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers as well as electrical diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Ability to repair complex mechanical systems including boilers and appliances related to heating or cooling. Knowledge of refrigerants and EPA certification for handling refrigerant gases safely. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating vans or trucks preferred. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces; comfortable working at heights or in varying weather conditions.
