Job Summary We're looking for an experienced HVAC installer to join our on-call installer list. This is not a full-time or scheduled position — you'll be contacted and offered individual residential (and occasionally light commercial) system installation jobs as they come up, with no obligation on either side to accept every job offered. Ideal for an installer who wants supplemental, flexible work between their own jobs or full-time position. While this starts as occasional, per-job work, we're growing and looking to build lasting relationships with the installers on our list. Installers who consistently do quality work, communicate well, and represent us professionally on site are the ones we call first — and as our install volume grows, that can turn into a steady, ongoing working relationship rather than a one-off. Responsibilities Install residential split systems, package units, and mini-splits per manufacturer specs and Florida Building Code / county requirements Set condensers, air handlers, and line sets; run and insulate refrigerant lines; perform brazing, evacuation, and charging Fabricate and hang ductwork/plenums as needed for the scope of the job Complete startup, commissioning, and system testing (static pressure, superheat/subcooling, airflow) Follow the job's scope of work and installation checklist provided for each dispatch Leave job sites clean and haul away old equipment/debris per the job agreement Communicate proactively with us on job status, delays, or issues on site Provide photos of completed work for our records and customer documentation Requirements Valid Florida HVAC-related license or ability to work under our qualifying license as directed, per

rules Minimum 3+ years of hands-on installation experience (residential split systems required; light commercial a plus) EPA 608 Certification Own standard install tools (brazing rig, vacuum pump, manifold gauges, hand tools); own reliable transportation General Liability insurance and Workers' Comp coverage (or exemption) — required before dispatch, per Florida subcontractor rules Ability to pass a background check Reliable, responsive, and able to commit to a job once accepted (installs are typically 1-day scope) Respectful, professional attitude with customers at all times — you're representing us in their home Mindful, clear communication with customers on site (explaining work, timelines, and any issues) and with our office Pay & Terms Paid per job on a flat-rate or per-unit basis, agreed to before dispatch (rate depends on scope/equipment) 1099 subcontractor relationship — no guaranteed hours or job frequency Paid on completion and sign-off of the job, per the subcontractor agreement How to Apply Send your name, license/certification info, proof of insurance, years of experience, and a phone number to 3bairconditioning@gmail.com to be added to our on-call installer list.
