1st shift- Monday-Friday (Schedule may vary based on business needs) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installer / Change-Out Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience replacing and installing residential HVAC systems and be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including attics, garages, crawl spaces, and outdoor job sites. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide high-quality installations while maintaining professionalism in customers' homes. Responsibilities Remove and replace existing residential HVAC equipment, including: Air handlers Furnaces Condensers Heat pumps Evaporator coils Package units and related components Install new residential HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, mini-splits, and HVAC accessories. Install, modify, and connect: Refrigerant lines Condensate drains Duct transitions Plenums Electrical connections Perform system evacuations, pressure testing, refrigerant charging, and equipment startup procedures according to manufacturer specifications and EPA guidelines. Test and verify proper system operation, including airflow, temperature split, static pressure, superheat, and subcooling. Install thermostats, zoning systems, indoor air quality products, UV lights, surge protectors, and other HVAC accessories. Ensure all installations meet local, state, and industry codes and standards. Complete required installation paperwork, photos, and startup documentation. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas before, during, and after installations. Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding installation progress, system operation, and basic maintenance recommendations. Work effectively with installers, helpers, apprentices, warehouse personnel, and management. Safely load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials. Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with HVAC technology, equipment, and installation procedures. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience as a Residential HVAC Installer, Change-Out Technician, or HVAC Installation Technician. Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation procedures. Experience with equipment replacements and full system change-outs. Ability to troubleshoot installation-related issues. Knowledge of refrigerant handling, charging procedures, and system startup. Ability to read and interpret HVAC installation instructions and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, garages, and outdoor environments. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. EPA certification preferred.
