Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Senior HVAC Installation Technician to lead residential and light-commercial system changeouts and new-construction installs across the Metro Orlando market. This is a hands-on lead role: you own the install from equipment set through startup, and you set the quality bar for helpers and junior techs on your crew. The candidates we most want to reach bring two things beyond general HVAC installation: genuine refrigeration depth (charging, recovery, brazing, leak isolation, superheat/subcooling verification) and real ductwork skill — fabrication, sizing awareness, sealing, and static-pressure discipline. Formal ductwork training and refrigeration certification move you to the top of the stack. Key Responsibilities Installation & System Startup Own the install: Lead complete installations of split systems, heat pumps, packaged units, air handlers, and mini-splits for residential and light-commercial clients.
Refrigeration work:
Set equipment, run and terminate line sets, braze copper to code, pressure-test, evacuate to a proper micron level, and weigh in/verify charge. Startup & verify: Commission each system — verify superheat/subcooling, airflow, static pressure, and safety controls — and document readings before leaving the job.
Ductwork & Air Distribution Ductwork:
Fabricate, modify, hang, and seal supply and return ductwork; correct undersized returns and high static-pressure conditions that kill system performance.
Do it right:
Read and apply load/sizing information and manufacturer specs to deliver installs that actually hit design airflow — not just "good enough." Leadership & Standards Crew leadership: Direct install helpers and junior technicians on site; mentor on brazing, sealing, and A2L handling technique.
Documentation:
Complete job documentation, refrigerant tracking (type, charge, recovery, sign-off), photos, and startup readings in HouseCall Pro.
Customer experience:
Represent our company professionally in the customer's home — clean job site, clear communication, no callbacks.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
Benefits:
Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Vision insurance
Work Location:
