Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to oversee and execute complex HVAC system installations, repairs, and maintenance. Duties Lead and coordinate HVAC system installation projects, including ductwork, equipment placement, and system commissioning. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to ensure precise execution of installations and repairs. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, boilers, electrical systems, and mechanical components using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics and implement effective solutions for system repair or replacement. Collaborate with clients to explain system functions, maintenance procedures, and answer technical questions with excellent customer service skills. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, schematics updates, and maintenance logs in compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Service technician experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, boilers, appliances, and building automation systems. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, and equipment troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), refrigerant handling (EPA certification preferred), and mechanical systems repair. Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; capable of explaining technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Mechanical knowledge combined with safety awareness; familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC work is essential.
