Job Description

  • Summary:
  • The Residential Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential systems and equipment, such as HVAC units, appliances, and plumbing systems.
The technician ensures that all services are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations. This role requires strong technical skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics and Repairs:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with residential HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, and other home systems. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, and control systems. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on residential systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Inspect and clean equipment, check refrigerant levels, and replace filters and other consumables. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and recommend any necessary follow-up services.
  • Customer Service:
  • Communicate with customers to understand their service needs and provide professional and courteous service. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively. Provide recommendations for system upgrades or improvements based on customer needs and system assessments.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities. Prepare and submit service reports, including details of work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future service. Update customer information and service history in the company's CRM system.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
