As an HVAC Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and safety of commercial and residential properties through expert system diagnostics and repairs. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults within electrical systems. Conduct mechanical systems repair including plumbing connections, mechanical component replacements, and equipment troubleshooting. Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary leak checks or system evacuations. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform system repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction during each service call. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong foundation in mechanical systems repair and building maintenance. Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related fields with a track record of successful system troubleshooting and repairs. Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles, and HVAC design concepts. Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of plumbing systems, boiler operation, ammonia refrigeration (a plus), and building automation systems. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pipe cutters, and diagnostic meters. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are advantageous.
