Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot various HVAC-related issues effectively. The technician will work on a variety of projects, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of heating and cooling systems. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to assess system requirements. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems, utilizing diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations and repairs as needed. Provide field service support for clients, addressing their HVAC needs promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems. Adhere to safety protocols while working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other hazardous materials. Skills Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role with a focus on service technician experience. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs effectively. Familiarity with HVAC design principles and construction practices. Proficiency in refrigeration techniques and air conditioning systems. Experience in property maintenance and appliance repair is a plus. Ability to perform welding tasks as required for system installations or repairs. Knowledge of boiler operations and maintenance procedures is beneficial. Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
