3003322015-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Lee Company is seeking an Experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to install, fabricate, and repair sheet metal ductwork and assemblies on commercial and industrial construction projects. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out and measuring materials, operating hand and power tools, assembling and hanging duct systems, and ensuring code and safety compliance. You'll work closely with project managers and other trades, uphold Lee Company's safety-first and quality standards, mentor apprentices, and support a positive, team-focused culture on regional job sites across the Southeast. Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and related components on commercial and industrial projects. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan layout and installation. Measure, cut, bend, and form metal using hand and power tools, brakes, and shears. Install, hang, and support duct systems to meet code, specifications, and company quality standards. Follow all Lee Company and OSHA safety policies, including proper use of PPE and safe tool operation. Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to coordinate workflow and resolve field issues. Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit, and finish, and correct any deficiencies. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Mentor and assist apprentices and less-experienced team members in learning trade skills. Document work performed and communicate progress, delays, or material needs to supervision.
