Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Conduct mechanical systems repair including welding, piping, plumbing, and equipment troubleshooting to ensure system integrity. Service HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems with precision and attention to safety standards such as EPA certifications. Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized cooling systems. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs efficiently. Collaborate with clients to assess needs, provide solutions, and deliver excellent customer service throughout the service process. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed. Support property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure continuous operation. Experience Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation. Service technician experience working with HVAC systems in residential or commercial settings. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, building automation controls, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design principles. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable. Knowledge of plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, welding techniques, and mechanical systems is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized equipment such as ohmmeters or diagnostic meters. Experience working in field service environments with a focus on customer satisfaction is preferred. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical trades are a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse property maintenance settings while maintaining safety standards.
