Job Description

Who We Are At Idaho's Plumber, backed by the values of American Rooter & Drain, this HVAC Journeyman role is built for someone who wants to do solid work with honesty, transparency, promptness, and safety. We're a Veteran-Owned and operated company focused on permanent solutions, reliable service, and world-class customer care. If you want your work to matter to customers and your team, you'll feel that here. What You'll Be Doing Your day will be hands-on and varied. You'll diagnose HVAC issues, service and repair systems, handle installs, and perform preventative maintenance that keeps homes comfortable and problems from coming back. You'll explain what you found, what needs to happen next, and what it costs in a way customers can actually understand. You'll document the work in ServiceTitan, keep your truck clean and stocked, and do the job to code, manufacturer specs, and company standards. You'll also help apprentices and newer techs get better. And because you'll work alongside plumbing, electrical, and customer service teams, you'll be part of complete home service solutions instead of working in a silo. The Hiring Process We have a rigorous process for hiring, but move FAST for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days! We've had lots of interest, so the first few steps are automated to make sure you can get considered quickly. Don't worry—if you take the time to apply, we will respond to 100% of the applicants.
The process:
Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min) You'll be texted a link for a 10 min questionnaire that will help match you to the job (or others that might suit you!). You'll get a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min) We'll send you a link to get scheduled for an in-person interview. You can easily be in for an interview within a couple days from right now. What You'll Earn You'll earn $28-$35 per hour, based on your experience and performance. You'll work a minimum of 40 hours and up to 60 hours. There is also an opportunity for performance-based bonuses, giving strong performers a clear path to grow their earnings. Why Work With Us Your health, dental, and vision insurance are covered 100%. You'll get a company vehicle, the tools you need, ongoing training, weekly team support, mentorship, and real opportunities to advance your career with confidence. This is a fit for people who believe in honesty, integrity, transparency, promptness, reliability, safety, and world-class customer service. If you cut corners, hate communication, or don't care about doing the job right, this won't be your place. Who We're Looking For You'll do well here if you're an experienced HVAC pro who can think clearly under pressure, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately, and communicate like a professional with customers and coworkers. You take pride in clean paperwork, safe work, and showing up on time ready to solve problems. You have 5+ years of HVAC installation and service experience preferred. You have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. You hold a Journeyman HVAC License, where applicable. You hold EPA Section 608 Certification. You can read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions. You can lift up to 75 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, on ladders, and in varying weather. You care about first-time fix rate, customer satisfaction, safety, documentation accuracy, and doing work you can stand behind. This is not for someone who wants to hide in the truck, avoid customers, or resist being part of a team. If you're ready to be respected for your skill, supported by your team, and trusted to do work that matters, apply now.
