Job Description

Who We Are At Idaho's Plumber, the HVAC Maintenance Technician role is built for someone who wants more than just a truck and a route. We're part of a Veteran-Owned and operated team driven by honesty, integrity, transparency, promptness, reliability, safety, and world-class customer service. That matters if you're the kind of person who wants clear expectations, strong team support, and work you can be proud to put your name on. We fix leaks, clogs, and HVAC issues with a smile, and we do it with reliable, efficient service that helps the community. What You'll Be Doing Your day will be hands-on. You'll inspect, clean, maintain, and make minor repairs on residential and commercial HVAC systems so they run safely and efficiently. You'll diagnose issues, talk customers through what you found, answer their questions, and help them feel confident in the work. You'll also spot when a customer may need plumbing or electrical help and connect them with the right team. You'll work closely with other technicians, support quality control, keep clean records, and keep sharpening your skills through ongoing training. If you like solving real problems, staying sharp, and being counted on, this work will feel good. The Hiring Process We have a rigorous process for hiring, but move FAST for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days! We've had lots of interest, so the first few steps are automated to make sure you can get considered quickly. Don't worry—if you take the time to apply, we will respond to 100% of the applicants.
The process:
Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min) You'll be texted a link for a 10 min questionnaire that will help match you to the job (or others that might suit you!). You'll get a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min) We'll send you a link to get scheduled for an in-person interview. You can easily be in for an interview within a couple days from right now. What You'll Earn You'll earn $16-$22 per hour, based on your experience and performance. On top of that, there are additional earning opportunities through performance-based bonuses, commission pay, and overtime pay where applicable. You'll also get a company vehicle, the tools you need, and ongoing training to help you grow. Why Work With Us Your health, dental, and vision insurance are covered 100%. You'll have weekly team support, mentorship, ongoing technical training, and real opportunities for career advancement. This is a Monday to Friday role with 8-hour shifts, plus on-call, overtime, and weekends as needed. This is not for someone who cuts corners, shows up late, avoids customers, or doesn't care about safety. It is for someone who values honesty, transparency, promptness, and doing the job right even when no one is watching. Who We're Looking For You'll do well here if you're dependable, mechanically inclined, organized, and willing to keep learning. You should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, around equipment, in tight spaces, at heights, and in the real conditions that come with HVAC service work. You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. You can commute to Caldwell, ID 83605 or relocate before starting. You communicate professionally with customers and teammates. You pay attention to detail and take pride in safe, reliable work. You want training, feedback, and a chance to grow your HVAC skills. You should not apply if you want an easy day, hate being accountable, or don't want to work with other departments. If that sounds like you, apply now. Good technicians don't stay available for long.
