Job Description
Shelley School District #60 is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician II to join our Operations and Maintenance team. This position performs advanced maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance throughout District facilities. While this position works across multiple skilled trades, we are especially interested in candidates with strong HVAC experience and knowledge . Salary $21.54•$28.92 per hour , depending on applicable years of experience. Benefits This is a benefits-eligible position that includes: PERSI retirement State of Idaho employee health insurance Paid leave and holidays in accordance with District policy Stable, year-round employment Opportunities to work on a wide variety of commercial building systems and equipment Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and mechanical systems Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, boiler, pump, and related building systems Diagnose equipment and system failures and determine appropriate repairs Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs within applicable licensing and safety requirements Maintain motors, pumps, controls, valves, and other facility equipment Assist with building automation and HVAC control systems Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate service records Respond to urgent facility and equipment problems Assist with District construction, renovation, and improvement projects Work collaboratively with other maintenance, custodial, grounds, technology, and school personnel Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and District standards Perform other facility maintenance duties as assigned Qualifications Candidates for a Maintenance Technician II position should have advanced training, certification, licensing, or significant professional experience in skilled building trades such as: HVAC / refrigeration Plumbing Electrical Strong HVAC experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment and be comfortable working independently to diagnose mechanical problems.
