Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Residential HVAC Technician to oversee and execute high-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services for residential properties. Duties Lead and mentor a team of service technicians to perform HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance with precision and professionalism. Diagnose complex HVAC issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Oversee the interpretation of HVAC design plans and schematics to ensure accurate system installation and troubleshooting. Perform comprehensive service tasks including refrigeration, plumbing, appliance repair, air conditioning systems, boiler maintenance, and ammonia refrigeration when applicable. Conduct field service operations involving equipment repair, welding, mechanical adjustments, and property maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, building codes, and industry regulations while maintaining high standards of quality. Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for efficient job completion; coordinate procurement when needed. Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports and logs for accountability and future reference. Maintain excellent communication with clients to explain repairs or upgrades clearly and professionally. Promote a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and encouraging best practices among team members. Able to work on and repair boilers and mini splits Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in residential HVAC systems with strong mechanical knowledge. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience supervising or leading a team of technicians. Extensive construction background with familiarity in schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including air conditioning units, boilers, appliances repair, and property maintenance. Skilled in welding techniques and equipment repair; experience working with mechanical systems like pumps or compressors is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely. Additional certifications such as HVAC/R certification or relevant trade licenses are highly desirable. Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical schematics accurately.
