HVAC-R Technician Summary of Position The HVAC -R Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment and related control systems. This position may also support other Engineering functions and participate in special projects as needed. Essential Functions Repairs and maintains HVACR systems and related equipment utilizing hand and power tools to facilitate work, excluding repair and maintenance of piping connected to such equipment. Moves, installs, and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical/mechanical equipment. Assists in other building maintenance or repairs activities as needed. Works in fabricating as needed, excluding fabrication activities related to pipe systems. Heating (Furnace, boiler, heat pump). Ventilation & Air filtration. Air Conditioning. Refrigeration (cooler, freezers, cases) EPA Section 608 required Marginal Functions Assist with other building maintenance and repair activities as needed. Qualifications Education, Experience, and Knowledge High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC R repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of electrical components and wiring systems. Strong mechanical skills. Certifications Light Commercial Service Technician Certificate required.
