Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe, and healthy environments for our clients across various commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems following schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure reliable operation and extend system lifespan. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical testers. Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC systems, including compressors, fans, thermostats, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections. Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems to identify root causes of malfunctions efficiently. Conduct system inspections and testing to verify proper operation after repairs or installations. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with construction experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and building automation systems. Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for equipment troubleshooting. Experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC/R equipment including electrical diagnostics. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling (EPA 608 Certification). Ability to work independently or as part of a team with excellent customer service skills. Valid van driver's license preferred for on-site travel between job sites. Pay:
From $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
