Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician / Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal comfort and system efficiency. A strong foundation in HVAC systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and mechanical systems is essential to succeed in this energetic role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Service Technician Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems. Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on HVAC systems. Inspect equipment and identify potential issues or needed repairs. Test system performance and ensure efficient operation. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately. Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and management. Maintain compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations. Installer Responsibilities Install residential and commercial HVAC equipment and systems. Remove and replace existing HVAC units and related components. Install ductwork, thermostats, ventilation systems, and refrigeration lines. Measure, cut, assemble, and connect materials according to specifications. Start up newly installed systems and verify proper operation. Ensure installations meet local building codes and manufacturer requirements. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. HVAC certification or technical training preferred. EPA Section 608 Certification preferred or required. Minimum of 3 years of HVAC service and/or installation experience (preferred). Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
