The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and, when needed, installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, and other HVAC equipment Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant-related issues Install and replace HVAC equipment when needed Clearly explain system problems and repair options to customers Maintain accurate service notes and job documentation Follow EPA regulations and company safety procedures Participate in an on-call rotation when needed Qualifications At least two years of HVAC service experience EPA certification required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals Valid driver's license and clean driving record Professional attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work independently and travel locally for service calls What We Offer $32-$42 per hour, based on experience Overtime opportunities Paid time off Health insurance 401(k) Company vehicle and fuel card Tools provided and professional development assistance Join SP Heating & Cooling and become part of a growing team that values quality workmanship, reliability, and excellent customer service.
