Job Description

Looking for an experienced Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team and assist in creating comfortable, efficient indoor environments. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help clients enjoy reliable climate control while supporting building automation systems and mechanical systems repair. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans Perform system diagnostics using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical issues with refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, or building automation systems Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical systems repair to ensure optimal operation of HVAC equipment Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation controls to facilitate accurate installation and repairs Repair or replace mechanical components such as welders or pumps; perform plumbing and electrical diagnostics as needed Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and other environmental standards during installation and servicing Maintain detailed service records, safety documentation, and reports for each project or service call Requirements Proven experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair Service technician experience in HVAC/R Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems repair Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control technology Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate various field service vehicles safely Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, pumps, valves, and other HVAC components Ability to use diagnostic tools including ohmmeters; experience with equipment repair is essential Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately in complex mechanical environments Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining technical information to clients Ability to work on your own or as part of a team This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to advance their career in HVAC installation and maintenance. $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
