FURNACE TECHNICIAN

HOURS:
10% shift premium 1:00 pm- 12:00 am 3:00 pm
- 2:00 am 7:00 pm
- 6:00 am We perform a hair follicle pre-employment drug screen test, lift test up to 65 lbs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot, install, build, calibrate, tune & conduct repairs of furnaces Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment Diagnose combustion, electrical & mechanical equipment Disassemble, inspect, rebuild and re-assemble heavy industrial machinery Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT) Operate and troubleshoot furnaces and control systems Actively promote a safe and healthy work environment.BENEFITS

Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot large machinery Experience with a volt meter is preferred. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and PLCs HVAC and blue print reading experience is preferred Strong attention to detail and documentation of repairs High school diploma or equivalent Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 60 feet Preferred- Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Mechanic Technical Diploma, or successful completion of Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program Scot Forge is a 130-year-old, 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings.
