Gibbel Home Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced residential HVAC Service Technician who is ready to take ownership of their service truck and customers from day one. This is not an apprentice or entry-level position . We're looking for someone who knows how to diagnose—not just change parts. You should be able to walk into a customer's home, listen to the problem, diagnose the actual cause, explain your findings clearly, make the repair correctly, and leave the customer feeling like they called the right company. You don't have to know everything. None of us do. You'll have technical support when you encounter something unusual. But we're looking for someone with the experience, judgment, and technical foundation to independently run residential HVAC service calls from day one. Live Near Springfield or Edwardsville? You don't have to drive to Carlinville every morning. Gibbel Home Services serves customers throughout Central Illinois, including the Springfield and Edwardsville markets . Our service technicians take their company vehicles home and can be dispatched directly to their first call. You are not expected to report to our Carlinville office every morning just to start your day. • Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems
• Perform HVAC maintenance and system evaluations
• Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, controls, combustion, and mechanical issues
• Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners
• Complete repairs correctly and efficiently
• Document your work thoroughly
• Maintain an organized and properly stocked service vehicle
• Identify systems that should be considered for replacement and turn those opportunities over to our sales team
• Build relationships with customers and help grow our Comfort Club maintenance program
• Treat every customer's home with respect
• Take ownership of your calls from diagnosis through completion What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced technician who can confidently work with:
• Gas furnaces
• Central air-conditioning systems
• Heat pumps
• Air handlers
• Mini-splits
• Thermostats and controls
• Refrigeration circuits
• Line- and low-voltage electrical systems
• Airflow and static-pressure problems
• Combustion and venting issues We're especially interested in technicians who understand how systems work as a whole and use a logical diagnostic process rather than simply replacing parts until the problem goes away.

We want technicians who listen to customers, communicate clearly, provide honest recommendations, and help people make good decisions without high-pressure sales tactics. At Gibbel Home Services, our job is simple: We solve problems. Sometimes that's repairing an inexpensive component. Sometimes it's replacing a system. Your responsibility is to diagnose the problem accurately, communicate honestly, and help the customer determine the right solution. On-Call & After-Hours This position currently participates in an every-other-weekend on-call rotation . As our service team grows, our goal is to expand the rotation so on-call weekends become less frequent. We understand that being available after hours affects your personal and family time, and we believe technicians should be compensated accordingly:

• Additional pay simply for being on call
• Double-time pay when running qualifying after-hours service calls

Compensation $28-$38/hour based on experience and demonstrated ability. We are also developing additional performance-based compensation designed to reward exceptional productivity, quality, and customer service.

• Proven residential HVAC service experience
• Ability to independently run residential HVAC service calls
• EPA Section 608 certification
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
