EPA Certification Full Job Description Responsibilities Installation:
Set up new heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units, run wiring, and connect piping according to blueprints and building codes.
Maintenance:
Perform routine tune-ups, clean air ducts, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
Troubleshooting:
Use specialized tools (like multimeters and pressure gauges) to diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.
Repair:
Fix or replace worn, broken, or defective system components.
Customer Service:
Explain system problems and repairs to clients, and offer advice on energy efficiency and regular upkeep.
Compliance:
Follow strict environmental rules for handling refrigerants and adhere to safety standards like OSHA.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a HVAC Technician Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances Ability to handle tools and equipment Good communication and interpersonal skills Friendly with a great deal of patience Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
