HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain heating and cooling systems for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial applications. Diagnose system issues, perform repairs, and complete system testing and startup. Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Communicate with customers to explain system issues and verify completed repairs. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation. Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area. Requirements Two to five years of HVAC service experience. Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing codes, industry standards, and system diagnostics. Working knowledge of math including basic algebra and geometry. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer locations.
