Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform HVAC system installation and upgrades in commercial and residential properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and design specifications. Conduct electrical diagnostics on HVAC/R equipment to identify issues with electrical systems, controls, and wiring. Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, and specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform precise repairs or replacements. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders accurately, and document all repairs for future reference. Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain cleaning or pipe repairs when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or mechanic with construction or property maintenance background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including refrigeration, boilers, electrical systems, and building automation controls. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting using hand tools and diagnostic equipment like ohmmeters. Knowledge of electrical diagnostics related to HVAC/R systems; EPA certification required for handling refrigerants. Valid driver's license equired for field service travel. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
