Duties Perform comprehensive installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces,and refrigeration equipment. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems, refrigeration issues, and plumbing components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs utilizing hand tools, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal system performance. Diagnose issues with electrical systems, and HVAC/R controls to maintain efficient operation. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, ensuring homeowner satisfaction, and offering maintenance recommendations. Maintain accurate documentation of service visits, repairs performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for each project. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and safety standards during all service activities. Experience Proven construction experience with residential HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair. Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related field with a strong understanding of schematics and HVAC design principles. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing installations, and appliance repair. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, & refrigeration systems Familiarity with hand tools, ohmmeters, refrigerant recovery equipment, and other diagnostic tools required for field service work. Experience working with electrical systems including wiring diagrams and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R are a plus.
