Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) Contractor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and refrigeration systems across diverse property types. Duties Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Perform equipment troubleshooting and repairs on refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration units, and mechanical systems. Utilize hand tools and mechanical skills to repair or replace faulty components in HVAC/R equipment. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and maintaining proper documentation. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system issues, repairs, and maintenance needs. Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan. Assist in HVAC system design or modifications based on client requirements or building specifications. Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, repairs, and parts used for each project. Experience Proven construction experience with HVAC installation and maintenance projects. Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation controls. Experience reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliances. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters or similar testing devices. Knowledge of HVAC system repair procedures including refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments while maintaining safety standards. Valid HVAC license or contractor certification required; EPA certification is mandatory for refrigerant handling. Excellent customer service skills combined with strong mechanical aptitude to deliver quality solutions efficiently.
