Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide expert recommendations on HVAC design and system upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related construction or property maintenance role. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and building automation system diagrams accurately. Experience with HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment such as boilers and air conditioning units. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics tools including ohmmeters; ability to diagnose electrical faults efficiently. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are advantageous. Skilled in using hand tools and mechanical systems repair techniques for various equipment types. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a van or service vehicle safely.
