Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems following schematics and HVAC design plans. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems and perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults accurately. Conduct equipment troubleshooting for mechanical systems such as boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and mechanical systems repair. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, and parts used for each job. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and other environmental standards. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems as needed. Skills Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation and maintenance. Service technician experience with hands-on repair of HVAC/R equipment. Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and building automation systems. Expertise in HVAC design principles and plumbing related to mechanical systems. Proficiency in HVAC system repair including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration units. Electrical diagnostics skills using tools such as ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of mechanical systems repair including pumps, fans, ductwork, and ventilation components. Familiarity with hand tools necessary for equipment repair and installation tasks. Experience working with electrical systems within HVAC applications; understanding of electrical codes is a plus. Ability to perform HVAC system maintenance proactively to prevent failures. Field service experience with on-site troubleshooting and repairs across diverse environments. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC or appliance repair are advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Mechanical mechanic experience preferred for complex system repairs; property maintenance background is a plus. Valid van driver's license preferred for transportation between job sites.
