In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort and safety in commercial and residential environments. Your expertise will help deliver reliable climate control solutions while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Troubleshoot mechanical systems and electrical components using hand tools, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic equipment. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity. Conduct system inspections, identify problems quickly, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Assist with HVAC system design modifications and upgrades based on client needs or building requirements. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Requirements Experience with maintenance and a focus on HVAC system installation and repair. Service technician experience with a strong understanding of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), and troubleshooting equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC system maintenance practices, ammonia refrigeration (a plus), and boiler operation is highly desirable. Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team; willingness to respond promptly to service calls across various locations.
