•28 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose problems efficiently while providing quality customer service. The HVAC Technician will work independently and as part of a team to ensure HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities Install, service, maintain, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. Diagnose heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration system problems. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues. Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections. Test system components and identify defective or worn parts. Check refrigerant levels and identify refrigerant leaks. Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant in accordance with applicable regulations. Install and replace compressors, condensers, evaporator coils, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, relays, and other HVAC components. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Use electrical meters and other diagnostic tools to identify system problems. Perform system startups, operational checks, and performance testing. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation. Communicate repair recommendations and system issues clearly to customers, supervisors, and other team members. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable HVAC codes. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles as required. Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours work when required. Perform other duties related to HVAC service and maintenance as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications Previous HVAC technician experience. Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics. Ability to use common HVAC diagnostic and hand tools. Knowledge of refrigerant handling and EPA requirements. Ability to safely lift equipment and materials and work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to pass required employment screening. Preferred Qualifications EPA Section 608 certification. HVAC trade school, technical school, or apprenticeship training. State or local HVAC license/certification, where required. Experience with residential and/or commercial HVAC systems. Experience with heat pumps, package units, split systems, mini-splits, furnaces, and air handlers. Experience troubleshooting 120V/240V electrical systems. Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Experience using digital multimeters, manometers, gauges, and other HVAC diagnostic equipment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver HVAC equipment, tools, and materials. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other confined or challenging environments.
