VAC Service Technician - W-2 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team as a W-2 employee . The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience and be capable of independently performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating and cooling systems. Candidates with an HVAC/Refrigeration license or other relevant HVAC certifications are strongly preferred . Plumbing and electrical licenses or experience are a plus. Responsibilities Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Work with heat pumps, mini-splits, central air conditioning, furnaces, boilers, air handlers, and related equipment. Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical problems. Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer technical manuals. Perform refrigerant charging, evacuation, recovery, leak detection, and system testing when qualified. Complete service calls independently and communicate professionally with customers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and provide quality workmanship. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of HVAC field experience; 5+ years preferred. HVAC/Refrigeration license or relevant professional certification strongly preferred. EPA Section 608 certification preferred/required as applicable to the work performed. Plumbing or electrical license/experience is a strong plus. Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Valid driver's license and reliable driving record. Dependable, responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently. Good communication and customer-service skills.
