Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor to lead field crews and oversee commercial and multi-residential HVAC installation, service, and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, safety-focused, and able to maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and customer communication across multiple active job sites. Responsibilities Supervise HVAC technicians, installers, apprentices, and subcontractors in the field. Coordinate daily site activities, manpower, materials, equipment, schedules, and project priorities. Oversee commercial and multi-residential HVAC installations, replacements, service work, start-ups, and troubleshooting. Conduct regular job-site walkthroughs to verify workmanship, code compliance, safety practices, and project progress. Read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, equipment submittals, and installation details. Work closely with project managers, general contractors, property managers, vendors, and customers to resolve field issues. Track job progress, identify potential schedule delays, and communicate solutions promptly. Assist with commissioning, inspections, punch-list completion, and project closeout. Train and mentor technicians while promoting accountability, efficiency, and professional job-site conduct. Ensure all work follows company procedures, applicable building codes, and OSHA safety requirements. Perform hands-on service, installation, and troubleshooting as needed to support the team. Required Qualifications EPA Section 608 Certification; Universal certification strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience in commercial and/or multi-residential work. Prior experience leading crews, supervising technicians, or serving as a lead installer/service technician. Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, heat pumps, ventilation equipment, ductwork, controls, and refrigeration components. Ability to diagnose HVAC system issues and guide technicians through effective repairs. Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and travel between local job sites. Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in typical construction and mechanical-room environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-family, apartment, condominium, or mixed-use properties. Experience coordinating multiple commercial projects or service teams simultaneously. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Familiarity with HVAC controls, building automation systems, hydronic systems, and VRF/VRV equipment. Experience using digital field-management, scheduling, or project-management software.
