Peabody Huggins is looking for a motivated HVAC Service / Installation Technician to join the team in Middleton, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for an HVAC professional with a solid technical foundation who wants to continue developing their skills in service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and installation . The ideal candidate will have hands-on HVAC experience and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot residential systems, but candidates earlier in their careers may also be considered. You'll work directly with Steve Huggins, who will provide hands-on mentorship and help develop the right person into a senior technician as the company continues to grow.

Compensation Package:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform residential HVAC service calls, diagnostics, repairs, and installations Troubleshoot HVAC systems and electrical/control failures Work on furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, mini-splits, air handlers, condensers, thermostats, and controls Test components and diagnose system issues Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks and charge systems when qualified Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners Recommend appropriate repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance Identify legitimate opportunities for additional service work Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while working inside homeowners' properties Work directly with Steve Huggins to continue developing technical skills Grow into a senior technician role and help support the company's continued growth

Qualifications:

Approximately 1 year of professional HVAC experience may be considered; 2-3+ years preferred Formal HVAC or trade-school training preferred Relevant hands-on experience with an established HVAC company EPA certification required/preferred depending on final company requirements; EPA 608 is important, and Universal is preferred Demonstrated knowledge of residential HVAC systems Experience with service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Installation experience preferred Knowledge of electrical and control troubleshooting Ability to test components and diagnose refrigerant issues Residential HVAC experience Strong customer-service and communication skills Comfortable explaining repair and replacement options to homeowners Willingness to learn and develop under experienced leadership Sound judgment and a professional service mindset Commercial HVAC experience is a plus Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check
