What you'll do:
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician is responsible for repairing and/or installing HVAC and other air quality systems, including regularly cleaning, adjusting, and repairing these systems. This role will also assist in other areas, such as performing plumbing and electrical work and may support other industrial maintenance technicians throughout the site.

What you'll do:
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician is responsible for repairing and/or installing HVAC and other air quality systems, including regularly cleaning, adjusting, and repairing these systems. This role will also assist in other areas, such as performing plumbing and electrical work and may support other industrial maintenance technicians throughout the site.
In this role, you will:
- Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Develop and perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, refilling non-toxic refrigerants, or changing filters.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Support refreshing of office and manufacturing areas throughout the site based on availability and need. This refreshing is to include potential drywall repairs, trim/molding replacement, caulking, fixture adjustments and painting.
- Provide support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Must have Maryland HVACR License (Journeyman).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, and rooftop units.

- 5+ years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, rooftop units, and boilers/chillers.
Skills/Position Criteria:
- Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
- Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to be comfortable working in any weather conditions and on rooftops.
- Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools.
- Flexibility in shiftwork may be required to perform work at times when area is not occupied.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to climb ladders.
