Job Description
We are looking for an experienced commercial HVAC Service Technician in Northeastern WV and surrounding areas! We offer our technicians the convenience of dispatching from their homes with an assigned company van Job Summary The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to provide professional customer service while maintaining compliance with all company safety policies and EPA regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment Perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company standards Inspect equipment to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions Accurately document service calls, repairs, parts used, and recommendations Maintain compliance with EPA regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal codes Follow all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and inventory Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and overtime as required Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of commercial HVAC service experience Experience servicing rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, package units, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems Thorough understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls, electrical circuits, refrigeration circuits, and mechanical equipment Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of EPA refrigerant handling regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds . Ability to safely move and position a 10-foot ladder without assistance Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access rooftops and mechanical spaces Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach overhead for extended periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures Ability to distinguish colors for electrical wiring and system diagnostics Certifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record EPA 608 Universal Certification High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational HVAC training preferred
