Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems and refrigeration. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on critical climate control and cooling equipment—including computer room air conditioning (CRAC/Liebert units), rooftop package units, and standard refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills, works well independently, and is committed to maintaining high standards of facility safety and operational uptime.

Daily Duties:
Preventive Maintenance:
Execute scheduled 60-day and seasonal preventive maintenance programs for facility HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure peak operating efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in complex cooling systems, chillers, split systems, and direct expansion (DX) refrigeration units using appropriate testing equipment.
Electrical Maintenance:
Troubleshoot control circuits, wiring diagrams, transformers, contactors, motors, and electrical components up to standard commercial voltages safely and efficiently.
Refrigeration Servicing:
Handle refrigerant recovery, leak detection, charging, and component replacement (compressors, expansion valves, filter-driers) in compliance with EPA regulations.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain detailed service logs, record equipment readings, and document completed work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to urgent equipment alarms or facility maintenance calls to minimize system downtime.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical refrigeration. Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to pass a criminal background check (CORI) Ability to learn quickly and interest in learning new technologies Ability to lift 75 lbs and stand for long periods of time Must be punctual, dependable and have reliable transportation
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
