Position Summary:

Apex Facility Services is seeking a skilled and reliable General Tradesman with strong mechanical expertise in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across commercial and/or residential facilities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid technical background and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Install, maintain, and repair fixtures, piping, wiring, and mechanical equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and ensure systems operate efficiently. Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other team members to complete projects. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical trades, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Technical certification or relevant trade license preferred (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license, or plumbing certification). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, confined spaces, heights). Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in commercial facility maintenance. Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance tracking software.
