Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm and varying Saturdays.
Job Summary:
An HVAC Service and Installation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation equipment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues. Test HVAC systems and components to verify proper operation. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. Remove and replace defective parts and equipment. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety regulations. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation. Explain system operation, maintenance requirements, and repair recommendations to customers. Respond to emergency service calls as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. HVAC certification or technical training preferred. EPA Section 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Previous HVAC installation and service experience preferred. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
