Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Residential HVAC Service and Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients' environments operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your technical skills, and contribute to property maintenance excellence across various settings. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, geothermal equipment, and central air conditioning systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to optimize performance and extend lifespan. Use tools such as ohmmeters, brazing equipment, and other mechanical tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate repairs. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring specialized mechanical skills. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards while providing exceptional customer service. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of system components. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design principles is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge covering forced air systems, refrigeration cycles, boiler operation, and appliance repair. Experience working in field service environments with the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues efficiently. Prior use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or similar testing instruments is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not required. Additional skills such as geothermal, boiler expertise, or fuel oil experience will be considered advantageous.
