Summary:
This ideal candidate for this position will have experience in operating CNC mills, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Status:
Non-exempt (hourly)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, or tend CNC machines for metal or plastic materials Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Perform tools changes, offsets, and minor program edits as needed. Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues to management Collaborate with engineering to resolve production challenges Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area Understanding of additional operations such as deburring Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High school diploma (or equivalent) or greater Prior CNC operator experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming basics HAAS experience is a plus SolidWorks knowledge/experience is a plus Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and using measurement tools Keen attention to detail Self-motivated Physical demands/working conditions: The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential job functions. Ability to frequently lift or carry 20 - 50 pounds. This position may require working overtime, holidays and weekends when job/business needs demand.
