Northern Heating & Plumbing is hiring dependable and motivated HVAC Technicians/Plumbers to join their team in Hancock, Michigan . This full-time role supports both residential and commercial work. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we're ready to train the right person.

WHAT WE OFFER.

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour starting pay based on experience and certifications/licenses.

SIMPLE IRA

with company matching contribution. Paid time off, paid sick time, and paid holidays. Company vehicle with fuel card. Company cell phone. Full-time Monday-Friday position working 7am-3:30pm; if weekend on-call work or emergency work is needed, overtime is paid.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE.

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for homes and businesses. Troubleshoot and fix plumbing systems including water heaters, drains, pipes, and fixtures. Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, and plumbing systems. Respond to service calls professionally and promptly. Keep tools and equipment in working order. Follow safety protocols and meet all codes and regulations. Accurately document your work and repairs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred. HVAC certification and/or Journeyman Plumber License is preferred, however, we will train someone motivated with some entry level experience in commercial or residential HVAC or plumbing. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. A positive attitude and willingness to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to take occasional after-hours service calls (on rotation), if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS THAT PUT YOU OVER THE TOP. EPA

Universal Certification. Experience with smart thermostats and energy-efficient HVAC systems. Knowledge of local codes and permitting.
