Commercial HVAC Commissioning & Start-Up Specialist (Michigan) Ambient Enterprises - 5.0 Madison Heights, MI Job Details $24 - $50 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description A day in the life You start your morning reviewing a new equipment start-up plan: rooftop packaged units on a commercial site. After verifying factory settings, you bring systems online, dial in ventilation and humidity control, and validate energy management sequences. By midday, you're troubleshooting a water-source heat pump at another facility, interpreting readings, resolving alarms, and updating the customer with clear recommendations. You finish the day documenting performance, coordinating with our commissioning consultants, and planning tomorrow's service calls across Michigan. About Airtech Automation Airtech Automation is growing in the evolving field of building commissioning. We make buildings work better by optimizing complex building systems. From design and new construction through the operation of existing facilities, our consulting group delivers full commissioning services, while our technical services team performs start-ups on sophisticated HVAC equipment from many manufacturers. Our industry-leading professionals focus on logistical, energy, and cost-effective solutions that deliver value to clients. What you'll do Perform start-up and service on commercial HVAC equipment, including air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues on water-source heat pumps and rooftop packaged HVAC systems. Verify performance against specifications and support commissioning efforts for both new and existing buildings. Deliver dependable, professional customer service and clear communication on-site. Travel within the Michigan area to support a growing service portfolio. What you bring Field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning. Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps, and rooftop packaged HVAC systems. EPA Type I & II or Universal certification. Your own hand tools and a clean driving record. OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred).
Compensation Estimated Salary:
$24- $50/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills. Service area Role based in and serving the Michigan area.
