We are representing an opportunity for a Senior HVAC Technician to support the operation and reliability of critical building systems in an industrial environment. Our team is looking for a candidate who can troubleshoot, maintain, and improve complex mechanical systems while helping keep facility operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, valves, and related distribution systems. Support maintenance and repair work for air compressors, breathing air systems, air handling units, and rooftop HVAC units. Conduct routine inspections and tests, including water testing, chemical inventories, and brine level checks, while documenting work in the computerized maintenance management system. Assist with major repairs, operate mechanical tools and equipment safely, maintain compliance with safety requirements, and communicate updates to supervision.
Required:
5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. Experience with steam boilers up to 37.5 million BTUs, water boilers up to 6 million BTUs, and chillers up to 1,000 tons. EPA Universal certification is required. Experience rebuilding pumps and a general understanding of computers and computerized maintenance systems is required. Ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekend coverage and 12-hour shifts every 7 weeks or so. Industrial experience is required; residential HVAC experience is not the focus for this position.
